Online Password Generator
Nothing to install. Works the same on desktop and phone.
Online generator means no installer, no app store, no permission prompt — the tool is a web page and the work happens in the tab. That also means it works on a locked-down work laptop where you cannot install software.
On a phone the page is designed to be usable one-handed: the generate button sits below the result, and the copy button is large enough to hit without zooming.
How to use it
- Open the page on whatever device you are signing up from.
- Generate and copy — the clipboard works on both desktop and mobile.
- Paste into your password manager app rather than the browser's autofill if possible.
Online does not mean uploaded
The two are often conflated. A page that runs entirely in the browser is online in the sense that you loaded it over HTTP, but the password is never part of any request. You can verify this yourself: open developer tools, switch to the Network tab, generate a password, and watch that no request appears.
That check is worth doing on any generator you intend to use, including this one. It takes ten seconds and it is the only claim that matters.
Reviewed 2026-10-21. This tool runs entirely in your browser — no server, no account, and nothing you generate is stored.
Frequently asked questions
Does this work offline?
After the first load, yes — once cached, the page needs no network to generate. The QR scanner is the only tool here that needs a permission prompt.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, and the layout is built mobile-first. Copying works through the standard clipboard API on iOS Safari and Android Chrome.
Can my employer see the passwords I generate?
Not through this tool — nothing is transmitted. A corporate proxy can see that you visited the page, but not the generated value.
