QR code scanner and reader
Scan with a camera or decode an image in the browser. Codes are read on your device — no upload, and no automatic redirect to whatever they contain.
These tools read codes, they do not create them. Scanning is the part where a browser genuinely helps: the camera path covers a code in front of you, and the image path covers the case no phone camera can handle — a code that already exists as a screenshot or a PDF.
Two deliberate choices run through all of them. The camera is never opened without a button press, because a denied permission cannot be re-requested by the page. And a decoded link is never opened automatically: you see the destination domain first, which is the only defence against a QR code that leads somewhere it should not.
