Online QR Scanner
The lightest version of the scanner: open, scan, done.
Camera access is requested only when you press the button. Frames are decoded on this device and discarded.
This is the same scanner without the platform-specific guidance. It is the page to use when you already know your camera works and just want the result.
It recognises the payload types that matter in practice — links, Wi-Fi credentials, contact cards, email addresses, phone numbers and plain text — and renders each in a form you can act on rather than dumping raw characters.
How to use it
- Open the camera or upload an image.
- The result appears with its type identified.
- Copy the text, or open the link after checking the host.
Payload types and why they matter
A Wi-Fi code is not a link: it contains a network name, an encryption type and a password, separated by semicolons with escaping. Splitting it naively on semicolons breaks whenever the password contains one. This scanner parses the format properly and shows the three fields separately.
A contact card (vCard) is a mini file format with its own line structure. Showing the raw text is technically correct but useless; extracting the name, phone and email is the difference between a usable result and a puzzle.

Frequently asked questions
Which QR code types are supported?
QR codes reliably, and the barcode formats the platform decoder exposes. The content can be a URL, Wi-Fi credentials, a vCard or MECARD contact, email, phone, SMS, geo coordinates, an OTP setup URI or plain text.
Can it scan a code from another screen?
Yes — point the camera at the screen. Moiré patterns from some displays can interfere; if it will not decode, take a screenshot and use the upload path instead.
Why is the result not clickable straight away?
Because auto-opening a link from an unknown code is how QR phishing works. You see the destination first, then decide.
