This is the maker variant of the random generator, with the same engine underneath. The password you see on load was produced by the same cryptographic path as every one after it, not a placeholder.

If you are making a password for someone else — a shared Wi-Fi network, a demo account, a temporary login — generate, copy, hand it over, and do not reuse it for anything of your own.

How to use it

  1. Take the password already shown, or press generate.
  2. If it is for someone else, write down who it was for before you copy it.
  3. Set a shorter length only if the destination system requires it.

Temporary passwords need a plan

A randomly made password handed to another person has a lifecycle problem: it is now known to two parties and probably written somewhere. Treat it as temporary from the moment it is created.

The practical pattern is to generate, share through a channel that does not persist the value, and force a change on first login. If the system cannot force a change, at least record the date it was issued so it can be rotated.

Frequently asked questions

Is the password shown on page load really random?

Yes. It is generated on the client as soon as the script runs, using the same CSPRNG path as the generate button.

Can I make a password without symbols?

Yes — untick symbols. Some point-of-sale and legacy systems still reject them.

How do I share a password safely?

Use a password manager's built-in sharing, or a one-time secret link. Chat messages and email keep the value indefinitely.
